  Absolutely love this place!! Great food. Great drinks! I Can't stay away. I've eaten almost everything on the menu and loved all I've eaten. Appetizer are phenomenal everyone should experience this restaurant.

  The people at Proper Pig are amazing! I just had my wedding in Rome, Maine yesterday and literally one hour before the ceremony was to begin I discovered the original caterer we had hired had quite literally forgotten about our wedding entirely and would not be coming! Very fortunately, a guest immediately suggested the Proper Pig. I called them and quickly explained our emergency and within about an hour we had all the food we needed for our guests, and at a cheaper price than our original 'caterer' I might add. The BBQ ribs and pulled pork sandwiches were delicious, as well as the corn bread and fries. All of our guests were very pleased! So many many thanks to this great restaurant for being helping to avert a huge wedding crisis!

  Fun atmosphere, friendliest service. Came with the hubs and 11 yo picky eater son. Picky eater LOVED the Caesar salad. I had the piggy wiggly pulled pork sandwich sans the bun. A little sweet for my taste, I prefer more tang to my pulled pork, but that didn't stop me from cleaning my plate. My less-than-foodie hubs had the pimped out shrimp wrap. He avoided the fried cheese curd but I thought it was good. Seems like a great place for after-work drinks and pub fare. We'll be back! Yum!

  Happy hour food specials $5 between 3-5. The pork belly pillows are a must try! Savory & salty pork belly on sweet & fluffy beignets. Yummy!
